Dark Lolium - 100% Lolium perenne (50% Presidian, 50% Carleve) 5 kg

Professional lawn mixture made from top-quality diploid narrow-leaved perennial ryegrass varieties designed for heavily used areas: sports fields (fields, teeing grounds/fairways), public green spaces and private lawns with high traffic.

 The mixture is characterized by very rapid growth, high vitality and excellent regeneration ability after mechanical stress. 

The dark, uniform shade and high density create an attractive, representative lawn appearance.

Main features

• Load resistance: very high (excellent resistance to treading, quick loosening).
• Rapid growth: early germination and rapid juvenile phase allow for rapid commissioning of playing surfaces.
• Health status: increased resistance to leaf diseases (especially rust), good tolerance of higher temperatures and temporary drought; the mixture also shows tolerance to salinity (suitable for stadiums with harder water irrigation or for winter sowing in warmer areas).
• Decorative: dark green color, fine to medium-fine leaf texture, high turf density.

Recommended cutting height

• Routine maintenance / sports: 15 – 25 mm
• In summer under stress: 25 – 35 mm
• Short intensive cut (reel mowers, perfectly flat areas): 10 –20 mm short-term

• New establishment (PRG monoculture): 30–40 g/m²
• Sowing / regeneration: 15 – 25 g/m²
  Coverage orientation: 1 kg is sufficient for approximately 25 – 33 m² when establishing or 40–65 m² when sowing.

Agricultural technology (briefly)

• Sowing depth: shallow, 0.5–1 cm ; ensure firm contact of the seed with the soil (rolling).
• Care after sowing: keep the surface constantly moist until emergence; after rooting, water less frequently but abundantly.
• Fertilization: medium to higher doses of N in the main vegetation; continuous scarification/aeration with full tines according to load.
