It serves as a vegetation layer for establishing roof gardens on intensively maintained roofs.
Suitable for growing perennials, shrubs and woody plants including trees. It can be used for single-layer and multi-layer systems. For multi-layer systems it can be combined with a drainage substrate. It is characterized by high water capacity, good permeability and sufficient air pore content.
It is made up of a mixture of crushed and uncrushed expanded clay, peat and bark composts.
